Ben Needham-Holmes - Rehabilitation Co-ordinator
Ben is a Rehabilitation Co-ordinator and member of the Client Rehabilitation Service, which is part of the Injury Services Group at Ashtons Legal.
Ben qualified as a physiotherapist from Sheffield Hallam University where he began his career within a rotational post in the NHS. Here he gained experience across multiple medical disciplines, including amputee management, trauma/orthopaedics, acute/chronic respiratory care and acute/sub-acute stroke rehabilitation.
In addition to his multi-disciplinary practice, Ben also went on to specialise in managing cases involving brain injury with the focus on assessing and addressing the client’s neurological rehabilitation needs, with a view to putting in place the care, support and treatment required ahead of discharge home, or into a healthcare setting.
After leaving the NHS, Ben worked for one of the leading case management companies in the UK, as a case manager, before joining the operations team whereby he supported a team of up to 18 clinicians.
Ben is part of the Client Rehabilitation Service at Ashtons Legal and recognises that every client is different and doesn’t believe in a ‘one size fits all’ approach to rehabilitation. Ben spends time getting to know the client, understanding their individual needs and identifying their goals before working closely with them towards achieving the outcomes that are both appropriate and meaningful to them.
Compassionate, caring and understanding, Ben is passionate about what he does and firmly focussed upon quickly achieving the best possible outcome for clients by ensuring they have access to the best care, support and rehabilitation available. He works closely with the legal teams at Ashtons to make this happen, the attention very much upon the individual needs of the client and those closest to them.
He is a member of the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC), Chartered Society of Physiotherapists (CSP) and British Association of Brain Injury & Complex Case Management (BABICM) and is part of their research group. Ben also sits on the advisory board of Cognivate, who provide community-based neuro-rehabilitation.
Outside of work, Ben coaches CrossFit and enjoys snowboarding.
