Denise Traube - Associate

Denise is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives and specialises in employment law.

Denise is mainly instructed by employers and assists them in drafting Contracts of Employment and Company Handbooks as well as advising on any issues that arise during day to day business. This can be concerning grievance or disciplinary procedures, assisting clients who have to go through a redundancy process or advising and taking action in respect of a breach of restrictive covenants.

Denise is also experienced in drafting and negotiating Settlement Agreements, both acting on behalf of an employer and advising employees on the obligations contained in a Settlement Agreement.

Denise deals with a wide range of Tribunal claims from unfair dismissal cases to cases involving discrimination. The majority of Tribunal work Denise carries out is on behalf of employers defending Tribunal claims brought against them, however, has had some involvement in assisting ex-employees in bringing claims against their employers.

Denise also offers a bespoke debt recovery service within the team as well as assisting the dispute resolution team with its general litigation matters.

Denise deals with a wide variety of matters on behalf of individual, commercial and local authority clients including small claims, fast track, and multi-track cases. These cases include claims for unpaid invoices, contractual disputes, commercial agency claims, enforcement of covenants in contracts of employment and possession claims, including obtaining urgent relief to remove trespassers.
