Ashtons’ veterinary lawyers have acted for a number of independent veterinary practices when they have decided to sell their businesses.
Most of the deals have had values exceeding £1m and cumulatively have had sale values of over £10m.
Our veterinary lawyers provide an end to end service, including advising on Heads of Terms and call upon other areas of expertise such as employment and commercial property to deal with employee contracts, staff transfers (TUPE), due diligence and reassignment of leases.
The firm’s regulatory team are also involved in each transaction, as the veterinary sector have some very specialist issues to contend with including the disposal of waste – animals and medical supplies – and protection against warranties.
Following on from the first veterinary transaction Paul Whittingham worked on, he has been recommended by a major national acquirer and has subsequently worked on buying and selling veterinary practices all over the country.
