Harriet Richardson - Associate (CILEx Lawyer)

Harriet is an Associate (CILEx Lawyer) in the Lifetime Planning team.

Harriet joined Ashtons as a Paralegal in 2017. After completing all CILEX exams and achieving a distinction in both the Probate and Wills & Succession exams, she is now a CILEX Lawyer (Chartered Legal Executive (FCILEX) and authorised CILEX Probate Practitioner). Harriet became an Associate at Ashtons in April 2025.

Harriet advises clients on a broad range of Private Client matters, including Probate, Inheritance Tax, Wills, Trusts, Lasting Powers of Attorney and Enduring Power of Attorney registration. She has advised on complex matters including taxable estates involving businesses & overseas assets, and intestate estates with missing beneficiaries.

Harriet offers a bespoke service, tailored to the client’s needs, as well as knowledge and understanding of the current law and document drafting. She loves to meet clients and help plan for their future, as well as helping to relieve the stress and ease the administration process after loved ones have passed away.

Harriet is a Dementia Friend. Outside of work, she enjoys walks with her Shih-Tzu – Daisy, Film & Theatre, Travel and is a PADI-certified Advanced Deep Diver.
