Clare Best - Senior Associate

Clare Best qualified as a Licensed Conveyancer in 2008 and works in our Residential Conveyancing team.

Having worked in a Cambridge law firm for 12 years Clare moved to Howes Percival in 2015 heading up their Cambridge residential team, specialising in development site setup, plot sales and high-end residential transactions. In March 2020, Clare moved to Ashtons Legal as an Associate to head up their Cambridge plot sales team, dealing with site acquisitions, set up, supervising their plot sales team and undertaking high-end residential transactions. In January 2026, having worked in the Commercial Property team in the firm for over 5 years, Clare has transferred to the Residential Conveyancing team, joining the team as a Senior Associate and heading up the Cambridge team.

Clare advises on all aspects of residential property transactions.

Clare is a member of the Council for Licensed Conveyancers.

Clare is approachable and calm, providing clients with clear and practical advice.

In her spare time, Clare enjoys walking holidays in the Lake District and closer to home along the Norfolk coastline in her newly converted campervan, where, after an active day, she can relax and read. Additionally, she is in the process of renovating her home and enjoys running.
