Mark Henry - Partner

Mark is a Partner in our Corporate & Commercial and Banking & Finance teams.

Mark is highly experienced in advising businesses and funders on corporate and funding transactions across a range of sectors, including food and drink, transport, healthcare, automotive, engineering, manufacturing, financial services and technology.

When it comes to really looking after and delivering for clients, Mark’s expertise and commitment are well known.

His transactional experience includes MBO’s, MBI’s, trade sales, private equity buy-outs (share deals and asset deals – acquisitions, disposals and fundings), mergers, joint ventures, group reorganisations, investments, financings and re-financings.

Mark trained and worked as a Solicitor in London at what is now a global law firm before spending the next five years as a Corporate Solicitor in the South West at what is now a transatlantic law firm.

Mark moved to Suffolk and in 2003 became a Corporate Partner in the Ipswich office of what is now a national law firm. Over the next 20 years, Mark helped grow that law firm, including as Head of their Banking team and as Head of their Automotive team. Mark then took a break from working in law before joining Ashtons Legal’s Corporate team in August 2025 and being made a Partner at Ashtons Legal later that year.

Outside of work, Mark enjoys playing tennis, cycling and spending time with his wife, (fairly grown-up) children and family.
