Ruth Houghton - CILEx Member – Advanced Paralegal
Ruth is an CILEx Member – Advanced Paralegal in our Medical Negligence team.
After leaving university, Ruth spent 12 years working for a niche medical negligence law firm before enrolling on the Graduate CILEX course in 2011, qualifying as a Graduate Legal Executive three years later. She has been managing her own caseloads specialising in medical negligence ever since.
Ruth offers a personal and understanding service to her clients and loves to help those who have been let down and hurt by such a trusted profession achieve, at the very least, some answers.
Outside of work, Ruth enjoys being outdoors and taking her young daughter and dog to new and adventurous places to hike and paddleboard. She is a keen rugby player and has completed several marathons for charity, including Claire House, Action Against Medical Accidents (AvMA) and MacMillan Cancer Support.
