Tom works on high-value catastrophic injury claims, including birth injury, amputation and adult brain injury claims, as well as dealing with a wide variety of lower value claims.

In May 2022, he was involved in the successful representation at trial of a client who suffered a stroke and consequent brain injury as a result of the failure of the Defendant to administer heparin 67 hours earlier. Read a synopsis of the case here and view a copy of the judgment here. Tom also represents clients at inquests. Recently, he acted for the family of Christopher Sidle at an inquest before Norfolk’s Senior Coroner, securing findings that missed opportunities and systemic failings by mental health services contributed to his death. Read more about the case here. Following the conclusion of the inquest, Tom was thanked by the family for his “excellent counsel, help and kindness throughout the process”.

Tom graduated from UEA with a First Class Law Degree in 2018 and then achieved a Distinction in his combined LLM and LPC from BPP University in Cambridge. Before commencing his Training Contract, Tom worked at Ashtons as a Paralegal in the Medical Negligence team.
