After a hugely successful first year, Ashtons has relaunched its Wills Year initiative where a £10 donation for each Will completed in an entire year will be donated to local charities.
Ashtons Lifetime Planning team took instructions for 1,033 new Wills which were completed, invoiced and paid in the first year. A total of £10,330 was raised and given equally between eight charities, meaning each cause received a donation of £1,291.
The eight charities chosen – who will benefit again from the campaign in its second year – are:
- Gatehouse – Bury St Edmunds
- St Nicholas Hospice – Bury St Edmunds
- Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust Dementia Appeal – Cambridge
- Arthur Rank Hospice – Cambridge
- Norfolk Family Carers – Norwich
- Priscilla Bacon Hospice – Norwich
- Age UK Suffolk – Ipswich
- St Elizabeth Hospice – Ipswich.
Jane Gaynor, Ashtons’ Business Manager Individual Client Services, says: “This initiative is consistent with the firm’s ethos of making a positive CSR contribution to the communities in which we live, work, and where we have chosen to raise our families. Wills Year and the contributions we will make to these eight amazing charities sits well with the ‘community contribution’ awards that we have won in recent years”.
Jane adds: “Ashtons’ ethos is to make a positive CSR contribution to the communities in which we live, work, and where we have chosen to raise our families so we are absolutely thrilled to be able to donate to all of these wonderful charities who support many of our clients in the local area.”
