Multi-million pound personal injury settlement following life-changing workplace accident

  • Posted

Richard Foyster, who heads the personal injury team at Ashtons Legal, has obtained a substantial seven figure settlement for Mr P, who suffered life-changing injuries as the result of an incident at work.

Mr P suffered a crush injury which resulted in the need to have his leg amputated. An early interim settlement enabled a case management team to be put in place to ensure Mr P received appropriate support, early and comprehensive rehabilitation, the right prosthetics, and the support he needed to get his life back on track.

Richard comments: “With any catastrophic injury, obtaining early interim funding to enable a comprehensive rehabilitation programme is a key part of the injury claim process. It is also vital to ensure that anyone who has suffered a life-changing injury receives a high enough settlement to alleviate any financial worries caused by not being able to return to their previous employment. While Mr P would of course prefer that he had not suffered an injury at work, he is at least able to face the future with a degree of security”.
