Ashtons advise on award-winning packaging business transaction

Ashtons Legal has advised owner Joseph Fogel on the acquisition of his company Vaiopak Limited by the Irish food services and distribution group Zeus Packaging.

TLT LLP acted for Zeus. The purchase is one of three transactions totalling €15m that Zeus has entered in to in the past few months which have been widely reported in national press. The deal sees Joseph remain with the company after completion as its managing director.

Over the past 10 years under Joseph’s leadership, Vaiopak has built an enviable reputation as one of the most trusted and reliable suppliers in the food and beverage packaging industry, providing off-the-shelf and bespoke products to a long list of house-hold brands, and winning numerous local and regional business awards in the process.

James Tarling and David Sloman from Ashtons’ Corporate and Commercial department led the team that advised Joseph. James and David were assisted by Charlotte Vallins in Ashtons’ Commercial Property team and Jessica Piper from the Employment team.
