Ashtons advise Aidos on Seed Round
The Emerging Companies team at Ashtons has advised Norwich safeguarding start-up Aidos on its seed funding round.
Aidos is a fast-growing safeguarding technology that makes children and teachers in photos unidentifiable, protecting against exploitation, blackmail, and harmful manipulation. The company has been extensively covered in national and international press in recent weeks as it provides a crucial solution to an issue growing in severity and frequency.
The seed round includes funds from a number of experienced private investors to be used for further product development and expansion.
David Sloman, a partner in the Emerging Companies team at Ashtons led on the round, supported throughout by Ebony Colton, a solicitor in the team. David says: “We’re delighted to have been able to support and work so closely with the team at Aidos as they address such an important issue for schools and parents. We’re looking forward to helping the company continue its rapid growth.”
Carole Osborne, CEO of Aidos, says: “We were introduced to Ashtons through the startup incubator Akcela Ventures, and they’ve been incredibly supportive throughout our first raise at Aidos. Their team took the time to understand our business and provided clear, practical commercial advice that helped us move forward with confidence.”
