Jonathan Dattani - Solicitor

Jonathan advises clients on a broad range of Private Client matters, including Wills, Inheritance Tax advice, Trust Administration, Lasting Powers of Attorney and Probate matters. Jonathan has experience dealing with a wide range of taxable and non-taxable estates, including intestate matters, Will disputes or other contentious aspects, cross-border complexities and estates involving businesses and/or agricultural aspects.

Jonathan achieved a Distinction in the Graduate Diploma of Law in 2020, followed by a Distinction in the Master of Laws (LLM) / Legal Practice Course in 2022.

Jonathan is highly pragmatic and diligent and enjoys the problem-solving skills required in dealing with complicated estates and meeting his client’s needs.

Jonathan is currently an Affiliate Member of the Society of Trusts & Estate Practitioners (STEP) and is studying towards full membership.

Jonathan completed his Training Contract with a leading regional firm, completing seats in Private Client, Residential Conveyancing and Civil Litigation, with a focus on Contentious Wills, Trusts and Probate.

Jonathan qualified as a Solicitor and joined our Lifetime Planning team in October 2023.

The Legal 500 has recognised Jonathan as a ‘Recommended Lawyer’ for 2023 and 2024.

In addition to the above, Jonathan is the President of the Cambridgeshire Junior Lawyers Division and sits on the Cambridgeshire Law Society committee as the representative for Junior Lawyers in the region. These roles include maintaining and expanding the member base, managing sponsorships, drafting articles for various publications and events planning and management.

Outside of work, Jonathan enjoys running and Karate. In 2024, Jonathan is expected to run his first half-marathon and obtain a black belt in Karate.
