Almost £300,000 settlement obtained to care for bereaved child

Siobhan McWhinney, a specialist personal injury solicitor at Ashtons Legal, has obtained just under £300,000 to fund the care costs of a bereaved child until she reaches the age of 19. The young lady, from Norfolk, suffered a double bereavement when her main carers were both killed in a road traffic collision. 

Siobhan comments: “These were tragic circumstances and clearly no amount of money will ever compensate a young child for the loss of two close family members. We are, however, pleased that we have managed to obtain sufficient funds to enable her to be well looked after and given as many opportunities as possible to carve out an enjoyable and fulfilling life for herself as she grows older.”
