Ockenden Review – Nottingham Hospitals

  • Posted

Following the appointment of Donna Ockenden to chair the review into the Nottingham maternity services, families can now contact the review to ensure their voices are heard.

Nottingham maternity services have been rated inadequate by the CQC, with comments that there were serious staffing and cultural issues. Many families who have lost babies or their babies have suffered serious injuries following maternity care at the Trust have come forward so far to discuss how they have suffered as a result of the poor care they received. The review led by Donna Ockenden will work with families, NHS England and NHS Improvement to deliver a review and recommendations for safer maternity care for families in Nottingham.

An initial meeting with families took place in July 2022 and Ms Ockenden is encouraging other families to get in touch via email nottsreview@donnaockenden.com to talk about their experiences.
