Ashtons Charitable Trust donates £22,000 to five charities
Ashtons Charitable Trust (ACT) is delighted to have donated over £22,000 to five charities local to their offices.
The charities that were chosen by Ashtons Legal staff received £4,400 each – YMCA Norfolk, St Elizabeth Hospice, Young Lives vs Cancer, FoodCycle Cambridge, and Children’s Heart Surgery Fund.
Funds for ACT are raised primarily through Ashtons’ corporate and charity fundraising events across the region. Monies are also raised through staff supporting internal events, such as cake sales, raffles, and fitness challenges, including participation in the London Marathon and London Landmarks Marathon this year, an abseiling challenge and a parachute jump.
This year, Ashtons’ has also launched a new matched funding scheme. For every £1 raised by Ashtons’ staff for ACT or any of the nominated charities, the firm will contribute a further £1 to the charity
Chair of Ashtons’ Charities and Pro Bono Committee, Natalie Westgate, says: “It is always a pleasure to support such worthwhile causes in our local communities, and we are thankful to all our staff for their support and fundraising efforts.”
“Contributions from the firm through the new matched funding scheme have given our fundraising a massive boost, and we are very grateful for the generous donations.”
“Over the past 18 months, we have formed meaningful and lasting relationships with our chosen charities, and we look forward to developing them further during the remainder of 2025 through a series of staff volunteer days through the firm’s Give a Day scheme.”
