Melissa Duncan - Solicitor

Melissa is a solicitor in our Private Wealth Disputes team who qualified in 2024.

Having training in private wealth disputes, now qualified Melissa advises on Inheritance (Provision for Family & Dependants) Act 1975 claims, the validity of wills, and estate administration disputes, including the removal of executors. She has a wide range of clients and has built a significant specialist practice in cohabitee disputes and claims under the Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act 1996. She also supports other team members in various disputes involving complex, high-value estates.

Given the breadth of her experience to date in both Contentious Probate and Family Law, Melissa has a strong sense of empathy for her clients and a solid foundation to navigate them through difficult family disputes. She understands the personal aspect of Contentious Probate cases and working alongside clients, offering support through what is often a very difficult time for them.
