Residential conveyancing use in Cambridgeshire to receive a boost?
Posted 19/04/2011
The use of residential conveyancing solicitors in Cambridgeshire could surge after a study named it the best place to live in Britain in terms of quality of life.
Halifax’s Rural Areas Quality of Life Survey took into account indicators such as employment, the housing market, the environment and even rainfall to come up with a list of the UK’s most desirable locations.
Top of the chart was south Cambridgeshire, where 95 per cent of residents were in good health and likely to live longer than the national average. They were also likely to earn more per week than their counterparts elsewhere.
Other high-scoring areas included east Herfordshire, Uttlesford, Aylesbury Vale and Waverley, all of which are in the south of Britain.
Jack Neill-Hall, spokesman for the Campaign to Protect Rural England, said he is not surprised that it was the countryside which offered the best quality of life.
“Throughout our history a house in the country has been the dream of many an urbanite,” he pointed out.
