Electrical superstore creates jobs in Ipswich

A new electrical superstore is set to result in jobs being created in Ipswich.However, smaller family businesses in the area could be negatively affected by the arrival of the shop in the town.According to a report by the East Anglian Daily Times, Essex-based Stellisons Electrical will open the doors on its new store on October 1st.Company managing director Steve Scogings stated it is going to be the largest shop the firm has to date, adding: “We sell the whole range of electrical goods, from kitchen goods through to entertainment.”Mr Scogings also pointed out kitchens and bedrooms will be sold at the Ipswich location.As many as 20 full-time jobs will be created when the store opens this autumn, and there will also be work for self-employed kitchen and bedroom fitters.Stellisons currently operates stores in locations such as Chelmsford, Benfleet, Colchester and Westcliff, as well as Hornchurch.Posted by Hywel Griffiths
