Over £500,000 injury claim settlement for brain injury sufferer

Ashtons Legal has recently settled the personal injury claim of Mr A on the basis of ‘occupiers’ liability’. This occurs when an individual is injured when they are on someone else’s premises and the premises’ owner has not taken appropriate steps to ensure that visitors would be safe from harm.

Mr A sustained a traumatic brain injury and a vestibular injury (an injury to the balance mechanism of his inner ear). As a result of his injuries, Mr A has ongoing physical, vestibular, cognitive, behavioural and neuropsychiatric issues. These have been life-changing. Mr A is no longer able to work or do many of the activities he used to enjoy in the same way. He relies on others for help.
