Ashtons welcomes specialist shipping lawyer to Cambridge office

Ashtons Legal have today welcomed to their Cambridge office Miquel Roca, a specialist shipping lawyer who has recently relocated back to the UK.

Mr Roca, a Solicitor who is qualified in Spain, England and Texas, will be leasing office space in the firm’s recently refurbished Cambridge office. He has worked as an Abogado (lawyer) in Spain and a Solicitor in the UK for a number of leading law firms and on his return to the region recently was looking for suitable premises from which to operate the UK arm of his business – LMA Legal.

He deals with all sort of transport contracts, shipbuilding cases, cargo disputes, oil & gas, bills of lading, charterparty disputes and international sale & purchase of goods’ contracts, both on advisory and the litigation side (mainly arbitration under LMAA and LCIA terms). Mr Roca speaks Spanish, Catalan, English and German, and even a little Italian and French.
