£10,000 for unsatisfactory shoulder surgery

Ben Ward, a medical negligence specialist solicitor at Ashtons Legal, has obtained £10,000 for Mrs K, a lady from London who suffered a year of pain after unsatisfactory shoulder surgery which then required remedial surgery.Ben comments: “Mrs K’s initial surgery involved a tendon repair but our experts believe it was not done appropriately and this led to a re-tear occurring shortly afterwards. She suffered considerable pain until the problem was identified and revision surgery carried out. Liability in this case was denied but due to a reasonable and collaborative approach by both parties involved, a negotiated settlement was achieved which reflected the pain and suffering endured by Mrs K.”
