£625,000 settlement in fatal accident case

Michael Wangermann, a personal injury and fatal accident claim specialist at Ashtons Legal, brought a claim on behalf of a widow, Mrs H, whose husband was tragically killed whilst driving to work.

The value of the claim was hotly disputed and it was only after Court proceedings were issued, with a trial looming, that the insurers finally saw sense and started to enter into serious negotiations.  Having secured the evidence required in order to ensure that the correct level of compensation was achieved, Michael was able to negotiate a settlement of £625,000, which represented a significant increase on the amount previously offered by the insurers.
