Our HR advisers are able to provide consultancy services to clients to enable them to undertake project work as well as carry out investigations and meetings for grievance, performance management, disciplinary and dismissal matters.
Typically our HR advisers assist in situations where a client:
- does not have an impartial person to deal with a meeting, such as a disciplinary appeal
- does not have a HR individual available to deal with the meetings required for performance management, disciplinary, capability and grievance issues
- needs someone to manage and attend at consultation meetings, both for individual and collective redundancies and situations where TUPE arises.
How it works
Our HR advisers work alongside our employment solicitors and are often engaged on matters where our employment team are already providing advice. However, our HR advisers are able to assist on a stand alone basis and can be instructed separately.
Our HR advisers assist by providing experienced people power and their knowledge of working in HR roles. Our HR advisers are well versed in the requirements of the HR world and can deal with day to day legal and practical matters as they arise, with the ability to tap into our team of employment solicitors should they need to be consulted.
Most of the work required is offered on a fixed fee basis.
You will receive support from advisers who are focused on HR and are in this line of work managing the HR needs of Ashtons Legal. They understand the practical difficulties of implementing employment law and HR requirements and will work with you to reach an outcome. They can act as the neutral individual in difficult situations and take out the disturbance factor of dealing with meetings and projects, which clients wish to refrain from dedicating manpower and other resources to.
