SCAM ALERT WARNING: Ashton Partners LLP

UPDATE: As of 01/08/17 the scam website www.ashtonpllp.com is no longer live.

It has come to our attention today (30/06/2017) that elements of our website have been cloned and amalgamated into another website under the domain address ashtonpllp.com, relating to a “firm” called “Ashton Partners LLP”. Ashtons Legal have no connection with any firm called “Ashton Partners LLP”. Our website address is ashtonslegal.co.uk.

The cloned website does include the names of five of our fee earners (Rob Adam, Sharon Allison, Howard Bailey, Sophie Bales and Genie Barham) and one support staff (Bez Baker). The website notes the following contact details:

None of the contact details noted above are genuine or related to Ashtons Legal.

We are aware that there is a firm called Ashton Solicitors (SRA ID:514857) whose registered office is at 19 Hanover Square Leeds. Ashton Solicitors have received correspondence from several people who have received a fax from “Rob Adam, Principal Partner” at Ashton Partners with a crudely worded scam.

The website address appears to have been registered in Russia on (28/06/2017) and we are liaising with our website provider to see if it can be taken down.

Ashtons Legal have notified the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) of this fraudulent behaviour. We have also placed announcements on our social media pages to inform clients and other firms of this fact, as well as highlighting the matter in Google searches.
