Phoebe Osborne - Associate

Phoebe is an Associate Solicitor and APIL Accredited Senior Litigator who exclusively represents sufferers of asbestos-related diseases, including mesothelioma, lung cancer, asbestosis and diffuse pleural thickening, and their families.

Phoebe has a particular interest in multi-track fatal mesothelioma and dependency claims.

Phoebe also has experience in attending inquests and provisional damages claims for clients with benign asbestos disease, including pleural thickening and asbestosis. She provides benefits advice and works closely with our client liaison managers to improve the quality of clients and their families’ lives during their claim from diagnosis through to conclusion of their claim.

Phoebe is Chair of the Anglia Asbestos Diseases Support Group (AADSG) and works closely with Mesothelioma UK, leading counsel, QC’s and health care professionals. She is an advocate in the national asbestos in schools campaign, together with the Joint Union Asbestos Committee.

Phoebe is a contributor to BBC Radio Norfolk and has been interviewed by ITV Anglia regarding Asbestos in Schools.

In 2019 she was recommended by The Legal 500 UK as “very experienced in asbestos claims – very conscientious – will go the extra mile.”

Phoebe is Vice President of the Cambridgeshire & District Law Society and on the Events & Social Committee. She was shortlisted for LawNet Young Lawyer of the Year in 2018.

She represents Ashtons at Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust events and delivers training to local hospices and regional branches of Citizens Advice. She has held two successful mesothelioma study days for local health professionals in Norfolk and Essex.

Phoebe also regularly represents the firm and the AADSG support group at national events, including the National Lung Cancer Forum for Nurses and speaks at the Action Mesothelioma Day service held at St Edmundsbury Cathedral each year.

Phoebe supports a number of charities. In 2016 she fundraised and completed a Sky-Dive for Magpas Air Ambulance and took part in the Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust “5km Rudolph Run” the last two years. The asbestos support group she Chairs has raised over £14,000 for Mesothelioma UK in 2018/19.

In her spare time, Phoebe’s hobbies are yoga, gardening, interior design and upcycling furniture. She regularly attends live music festivals with her musician partner and enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
