Phoebe Osborne - Solicitor
Phoebe qualified in 2013 and joined the firm in 2016 and specialises in asbestos related disease claims.
Phoebe has a particular interest in multi-track fatal mesothelioma and dependency claims and has secured a settlement of £750,000 for a deceased mesothelioma widow with complex health needs.
Phoebe also has experience in attending inquests and provisional damages claims for clients with benign asbestos disease, including pleural thickening and asbestosis. She provides benefits advice and works closely with our client liaison managers to improve the quality of clients and their families’ lives during their claim from diagnosis through to conclusion of their claim.
Phoebe is Chair of the Anglia Asbestos Diseases Support Group (AADSG) and works closely with Mesothelioma UK, leading counsel and QC’s, health care professionals and is an advocate in the national asbestos in schools campaign, together with the Joint Union Asbestos Committee.
Phoebe also appears regularly in the regional and legal media for her charity and legal work.
Phoebe is a committee member of the Cambridgeshire & District Law Society, Social Committee and was nominated as Vice-President of Cambridgeshire & District Law Society for 2018 and LawNet Young Lawyer of the Year 2018.
She is an accredited Senior Litigator APIL member, represents Ashtons at Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust events and delivers training to existing and potential referrers around the asbestos claims process, including hospices and regional branches of Citizens Advice.
Phoebe regularly represents the firm and the AADSG support group at national events, including the National Lung Cancer Forum for Nurses and speaks at the Action Mesothelioma Day service held at St Edmundsbury Cathedral each year.
