Owen Franks - Solicitor
Owen assists clients with both the sale and purchases of freehold and leasehold premises, as well as undertaking portfolio review and general estate management work.
Owen joined Ashton’s Commercial Property team in March 2019, having spent the last two years being a stay at home dad. Prior to this Owen worked at Freeths, where he spent his time working primarily for large breweries, restaurant groups and hotel clients.
Owen qualified as a solicitor in 2015 having gained experience in Commercial Property, Property Litigation, and Employment amongst others through his training contract.
Prior to commencing the training contract, Owen undertook a BA and then an MA in English Literature. He then worked in France for a year, before returning to the UK to undertake legal studies. Owen completed the Graduate Diploma in Law at the College of Law Bloomsbury and the Legal Practice Course at Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge.
Owen is a member of the Law Society of England and Wales.
Owen loves being a Commercial Property solicitor because it enables him to become a part his clients’ teams, engaging with all sorts of interesting and creative businesses.
Outside of work, Owen likes the outdoors and particularly water sports, and hopes to start swimming in the Cam regularly upon moving to Cambridge.
