Mark advises on all areas of civil litigation including commercial disputes, professional negligence, insolvency and contentious probate.
In 2011 Mark was described by the Legal 500 as prominent among the region’s litigators.
He joined the firm as a litigation specialist in 1987 and became managing partner of what was then Ashton Graham in 2001. He remained in that position until 2010, overseeing the firms considerable growth during that period, before reverting to full time practice.
Recent cases include a large directors breach of fiduciary duty claim, a number of high value professional negligence claims and acting for the landlords in a substantial claim against the tenants of a nursing home which involved obtaining a worldwide freezing injunction in the High Court..
Mark has had training in mediation and has successfully represented clients at numerous mediations over the years. He has a well deserved reputation for his no nonsense style and his innovative approach to funding options for clients, including conditional fee agreements and discounted fee agreements in appropriate cases.
Mark is based in our Bury St Edmunds office.
