Kurt Glencastle - Trainee Solicitor
Kurt is a trainee solicitor currently working within our Dispute Resolution team.
He previously worked as a paralegal in a Commercial team focussing on commercial contract drafting and a Commercial Property team focussing on trade mark registrations as well as disputes and cease and desist matters.
After completing his law degree at the University of Leicester, Kurt commenced his LPC and MSc with the University of Law whilst working as a Commercial and Intellectual Property Paralegal with a local firm. He has now commenced his training contract with Ashtons Legal, starting in the Dispute Resolution team.
Kurt achieved a First Class Degree in Law, followed by completing his LPC with a Distinction and then a Distinction for Masters in Law and Business Management.
Kurt prides himself on being able to offer clients proactive, pragmatic and commercially practical advice that both aims to resolve their legal matters whilst furthering their commercial aims.
Kurt loves what he does because he is able to take the academic knowledge and practical skills he has learnt in order to assist and further his clients’ aims and ambitions in a way that suits their legal and personal needs.
Outside of work, Kurt enjoys anything outdoors, most recently has put his hand to kayaking, surfing and bouldering. He also serves in his local Army Reserves regiment.
During his time at University, Kurt directed the Legal Advice Clinic for the Law School, which focussed on providing free legal advice to those who needed it most, specialising in landlord and tenant, employment and wills and probate disputes.
