Helen Leggett - Solicitor
Helen is a member of the Personal Injury team.
Helen is an experienced personal injury lawyer, who qualified as a solicitor in 1994. She has worked for Ashtons Legal since 2008.
Helen is well versed in all aspects of personal injury practice and procedure and her caseload is varied, encompassing a wide range of claims on behalf of people who have suffered an injury, whether arising from public liability, accidents at work or on the road (including acting for victims of uninsured or untraced drivers).
She also acts for clients claiming psychiatric injury arising from workplace stress or bullying.
Helen is experienced in cases involving complex injury and legal issues and includes claims involving subtle brain injury, chronic pain and psychiatric trauma. She also defends allegations of fraud against injured clients, especially those relating to accidents that are alleged to have occurred at low impact.
Helen is a staunch advocate of early intervention, working closely with clients and their families from the beginning to ensure that the appropriate level of support, treatment and care is properly assessed and accessed.
Helen is an alumna of Leeds University and Leicester Polytechnic. She is a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers and is a volunteer adviser at the Ipswich Law Advice Centre.
Outside of work, Helen loves cooking and baking, writing short stories (when she has the time!) and attending live music events. She also is a classic car owner and enthusiast.
