Fiona Pirie - Case Worker
Fiona is a Caseworker in our Court of Protection team.
She covers all aspects of Court of Protection casework, including the Mental Capacity Act and Lasting Powers of Attorney.
Fiona completed a BTec in Entrepreneurship and Enterprise at Anglia Ruskin University before going on to graduate from the Open University with a BA Hons in English and History.
Her previous work includes higher education administration and management – from exams to student discipline at the universities of Sheffield, Cambridge, Oxford and Newcastle. Fiona also ran Pro-Vice-Chancellors’ Office at Newcastle.
Fiona will do the very best for her clients and play the long game in long-running cases. She has an eye for detail and lots of stamina and commitment. She is passionate about wanting to help people get through life’s difficulties and tragic events.
Outside of work, Fiona made over 120 sets of ‘scrubs’ in the summer of 2020 via the North Herts ‘Scrub Hub’ for community midwives and other healthcare staff – her house looked like a sweatshop! Fiona enjoys reading, mostly history, and specifically on espionage and SOE. She spent four years living and working part-time in southern France, teaching English as a Foreign Language, and supporting the local wine industry in Tavel (near Avignon) where they make the only AC rose wine in France. She has most recently worked for HomeStart supporting families with under 5s who are struggling for a number of reasons. Support is provided via weekly home visits and also playgroups.
