About the Authors:

Bob McGeady is Ashtons’ Planning and Development Consultant and has over 30 years’ experience working on many major agreements relating to residential and commercial developments. He has a wide variety of clients including local authorities and developers. Bob has extensive experience of planning (including advocacy at public inquiries), negotiation of planning terms, drafting planning agreements, project development and project appraisal.

Meyric Lewis is a Barrister based at Francis Taylor Building in London. He specialises in all aspects of planning (including environmental assessment) and compulsory purchase both at inquiries and in the courts at all appellate levels. Clients range from substantial developers to public authorities and individual developers or objectors.
