Hello

Welcome to our latest round of face-to face Employment Law Breakfasts.

I am pleased to welcome to this series of events our sponsor EB Cam Ltd. EB Cam Ltd is a leading provider of employee benefits and independent financial advisory services, with offices in Bury St Edmunds and Cambridge. Their mission is to partner with employers to develop compelling employee benefits packages that help attract and retain top talent. They are committed to delivering personalised and impartial advice that puts your and your employees’ interests first.

Programme

With Labour now in power we are expecting some significant Employment Law reforms. The New Deal for Working People was a core part of their election manifesto, and we shall look at this in more detail.

This includes plans for the right to claim unfair dismissal from day one of employment, earlier access to certain parental rights, the removal of qualification periods for statutory sick pay and the right to disconnect. These reforms are included in their ‘Plan to Make Work Pay’ which are expected to be seen in the form of a draft Employment Rights Bill before the end of October 2024.

EB Cam

Our speakers from EB Cam will provide a comprehensive overview of the current employee benefits market, highlighting key trends and addressing current challenges such as rising costs. Additionally, they will explore the crucial role of effective communication in the context of employee benefits. This will include strategies for ensuring that employees fully understand and appreciate the benefits available to them, thereby enhancing their engagement and satisfaction.

Booking

As usual we shall be running these events across the region, and you are welcome to attend whichever is most geographically convenient. A light breakfast will be supplied, and these events are free to attend.

Please do mention these events to members of your team and also any HR contacts in other organisations who you think would be interested in attending.

I hope we shall see you at one of the dates.

Best wishes

Toby
