Ashtons Brain Injury Case Management Conference 2024
February 1, 2024 @ 8:30 am - 4:30 pm
£94.80
Welcome
I am delighted to announce the date for our 2024 annual Brain Injury Case Management Conference. We shall be returning to the Hilton in Coventry on Thursday 1 February.
Programme
The full programme will be announced very soon, but as a taster of what we are offering this year:
Dr David Lee
Back by popular demand is Chartered Psychologist Dr David Lee, who has been teaching, researching and disseminating findings from his own research into sleep and the psychobehavioural treatment of insomnia for the last fifteen years.
Dr Lee was so well received at our conference last year that we invited him back to present his work on sleep apnoea. His presentation: ‘Gasping for Breath: The Assessment and Management of Sleep Disordered Breathing after Complex Injuries’, will focus on sleep problems, which are very common after individuals sustain life-changing injuries, especially spinal and brain injuries.
Rebecca Lloyd
We will also have some focus in the day on your own personal development. We have invited an international speaker, consultant, podcaster, women’s advocate, and founder of This Independent Life, Rebecca Lloyd.
Rebecca’s presentations offer a mix of educational and practical takeaways. She will be presenting on ‘Boundaries’, which may sound like a bit of a buzzword, but they’re central to living life on your terms. You’ll walk away knowing what boundaries are, how to set and practice boundaries in work and all aspects of your life, and how to ultimately use your boundaries to help you thrive.
The day is always enjoyable and informative, and past delegates have commented that they leave with practical advice useful to their daily practice. The conference is also an ideal networking opportunity, and additionally, we have sourced a wide range of exhibitors who we hope are relevant to your role.
Who should attend?
Once again, our day is aimed at Brain Injury Case Managers and other practitioners in the field, inclusive of therapists, support workers, social workers and those with an interest in the Court of Protection. Our aim is to come together and provide an informative and interactive day with the purpose of sharing useful practical points you can take away and apply in your everyday work in this specialist field.
The conference will again be supported by a host of relevant exhibitors who look forward to meeting you, and the day continues to be an excellent networking opportunity with colleagues, referrers and suppliers alike.
Charity donation
We are thrilled that our previous conferences have now raised over £16,000 for the Ashtons Charitable Trust, supporting a wide range of charities, events and good causes as nominated by Ashtons Staff. We will again be making a donation to the Charitable Trust from the day’s proceeds.
A host of staff from Ashtons Legal will be present on the day from our Court of Protection, Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury teams who look forward to meeting you, strengthening existing relationships and building new ones.
