Court of pProtection team: Who am I? Sue Eichberger

  • Posted

Our thriving Court of Protection Team continues to grow and this piece focuses on a different team member each month so you can get to know a little bit more about the person on the other end of the phone and put a face to a name!

This month we introduce Sue Eichberger!

1.How long have you been working at Ashtons? 2 years.

2.What is your current role? (including a description of your main duties) I am PA to Adrian Mundell (Partner/Head of Court of Protection Team) and Debbie Holmes (Associate/Team Manager) and I also provide secretarial support to the management of the CoP team. My main duties include diary management, making travel arrangements, phone calls, typing, collating internal and external mail and maintaining necessary records for legal requirements.

3.What do you enjoy most about your role? In this role no two days are the same and the variety of tasks and changing priorities make it really interesting and enjoyable.

4.What is the most challenging part of your role? The diary management can be quite a challenge at times, trying to ensure the travel arrangements flow and that all the necessary items are in place.

5.What is your most memorable or proudest moment in the team? Being commended for organising Adrian – the main task that I set out to achieve!

6.What did you do before you joined Ashtons? Prior to joining Ashtons I worked for a manufacturing company initially within the UK and International Sales departments and then as PA to the Chief Finance Officer/Legal Assistant to the Company Secretary.

7.If you weren’t working in the Court of Protection Team what might you have ended up doing? Now there’s a question! Maybe working in a similar role at a Doctor’s practice and possibly trying to fit in some voluntary work with elderly people in the community.

8.Tell us something people would be surprised to know about you. I drove my husband’s classic 1986 Audi UR quattro around Donington Park race track – and was told by him to “slow down!”.

9.What is your favourite pass time outside of work ? I enjoy live music and have a wide ranging taste – everything from new country to Ozzy Ozbourne!

10.What advice do you wish you could go back and give your younger self? When opportunities come your way, don’t be afraid to take them as they may not be repeated.
