Ashtons sponsors Bury Goes Biking

Ashtons Legal are pleased to announce their sponsorship of the Bury Goes Biking event taking place on 30 September.

The event is run by Abbeycroft Leisure and is supported by St Edmundsbury Borough Council, Suffolk County Council and West Suffolk Wheelers. There is no entry fee for participants, but attendees are encouraged to raise sponsorship which will go to support St Nicholas Hospice in Bury St Edmunds.

Ashtons are delighted to sponsor the event and have purchased 400 branded high vis vests which will be worn by the riders.

Bez Baker, Client Relationship Executive at Ashtons said: “As a member of Ashtons’ Cycling Club I am delighted to be a part of this event, a first for Bury St Edmunds. We are hoping to get lots of our staff involved on the day and hope the local community comes out in force to support this fantastic cause.”

Bury St Edmunds Town Clerk, Greg Luton said, “The Town Council is thrilled to support this project with grant funding.We all are enthusiastic about getting people onto bikes and increasing physical activity, and this certainly does it!.”

Ian Evans, Sport Development Manager at Abbeycroft Leisure said “Excitement around the first closed-road cycling event for Bury St Edmunds is starting to gather momentum, and we’re very grateful to Ashtons Legal for their support. The high vis vests are certainly going to make a huge difference.”
