Ashtons Legal is pleased to announce the continuation of the firm’s sponsorship for Bury Bombers Wheelchair Basketball Club.

With the sponsorship now entering its second year, the firm has provided additional shirts to reflect the increasing membership of the Club.

The Wheelchair Basketball Club was formed in 1997 and members train weekly at Culford School. The Club accommodates people of all ages and abilities and is proud to have been the first Club in Great Britain to receive ‘ClubMark’ at Silver level from the National Governing Body, British Wheelchair Basketball.

The Club has charity status and relies on committed volunteers and membership fees but also local organisations and individuals. Any external support from family and friends is always welcome. Ashtons Legal is always happy to support important causes within the community and the firm sponsors other local sports clubs.

Bury Bombers Chairman and Head Coach Jill Anderson said: “It is a pleasure as always to have the support from Ashtons Legal and we value our established relationship with the Ashtons team. The Club has some Ashtons’ clients among its members so we have a genuine connection and look forward to the ongoing future involvement.”

Michael Wangermann, a personal injury specialist at Ashtons, said: “Sports Clubs such as the Bury Bombers often play an important part in the rehabilitation of those who have had catastrophic injuries. The Club provides important support to maintain fitness of those affected as well as a friendly and inclusive social environment.”
