Ashtons assist in relaunch of the Agricultural Law Association in the East

  • Posted

Ashtons Legal are delighted to be involved in the relaunch of the Eastern Region arm of the Agricultural Law Association.

The group, and its new members, met recently at Camgrain’s Cambridge site for a mornings tour and presentations.  Camgrain is a farmer-owned co-operative which was formed in 1983.  Over 60 people attended the opening meeting from a range of organisations including solicitors, banks, accountants and land agents.

The Agricultural Law Association welcomes members from any of the advisory professions and others with an interest in agriculture and rural business and currently has membership of over 1,100 across the UK.  Meetings and events are open to members and non-members alike.

The Eastern Region group plan to meet at least twice a year but will also host a number of events, similar to the recent one at Camgrain.  Events will include presentations from one or two speakers on a topical subject, followed by a buffet and time for networking.  It is the intention of the group to share knowledge and information relevant to the agricultural sector.

If you are interested in joining the Eastern Region ALA or would like to know about future meetings and events, please contact Mike Holland on mike.holland@ala.org.uk or call 07885 643341.
