Ashtons advise on acquisition of Cornwall based WSB Tackle Ltd

Ashtons Legal has advised national company Gloveman Supplies Ltd in its acquisition of the business and assets of Cornwall based WSB Tackle Ltd.

WSB Tackle are wholesale suppliers of fishing tackle and associated products and supply retail shops, fisheries, commercial and charter boats and webshops. Their product range, which tops 1,000 items, represents a brand new business line for Gloveman Supplies.

Geoff Hazlewood, a partner and head of the Corporate and Commercial Team led the transaction, assisted by associate solicitor Colin Makin on employment matters.Geoff Hazlewood commented: “It was a real pleasure assisting Mike and the team at Glovemen Supplies in growing their business through this acquisition and we wish them every success for the future”.

Mike Peck, CEO of Gloveman Supplies who has been at the helm for 12 years, said of the deal: “We are delighted to have completed the purchase of WSB Tackle.This is a completely new product area for us so we are looking forward to learning about these new product lines and working with new customers”.
